I am looking to throw my modem, router, adpator on a UPS. The longest power goes out here is 45min to an hour. during the fall/winter time. Looking to spend no more then $100 but cheaper the better still so any recommendations for UPS's?
any help would be great
thanks

I have a 500 VA CyberPower. It was about $60 at Best Buy several years ago. Something similar should work fine for you. You don't need much for just the networking stuff. |

I just purchased a 1500VA Belkin F6C1500-TW-RK from Techonweb.com for $150 delivered (30lbs). Really nice, lots of features you may or may not need, but a lot of back -up power for the money. Check out Techonweb.com for other options, they have lots of choices and good prices. |

I have this one and it works great. I have one for my computer and monitor, and another with just the modem, adapter and wireless router on it. Power hasn't went out lately to test it, but I would imagine it would last a few hours with just those things on it. Plus I have outlets galore since both have 4 battery backup, and 4 surge protected outlets. |

I have 3 UPS's all from APC, one for my entertainment center, one for my computer, and one for the network/phone. I have the network/ phone connected to APC Back-UPS 725. The power doesn't go out much, but the sotware that comes with it says it should work for 30 -45 minutes with everything that is connected to it. I have it running a modem, 3 routers, and the phone. I also like their upgrade program where you can return your old unit, and get a discount on a new one. |
