Hi,
Vonage has been great so far, but I just experienced my first problem.
Using Kazaa while the Motorola ATA attached to my router causes the Linksys router to lock up solid, with the yellow "Test" light illuminated.
After rebooting the router and disconnecting the ATA, Kazaa and all network services work normally. It's only when the ATA is connected while I am using Kazaa do things go haywire.
During this period of time I am not making nor receiving calls, nor am I creating any significant upload traffic.
My network:
DSL--FM114P SPI firewall/router--Motorola ATA (static IP)
The firewall is forwarding ports to the ATA per the Vonage user manual.
Why is this happening? It's very frustrating.
Another thing I've noticed: the router's administration page can show what devices are connected to it. The ATA is almost never listed as an attached device. On rare occasions it is shown as connected, labled "Unknown Device", even though I have assigned a display name for the device.
So who should I blame, the ATA or the router? |

Not that it should matter, but my router is a Netgear FM114P, not Linksys. |

Do you have any problems other than when using the P2P service. Or is the the only time your router locks up.
Jst courious if you drop calls etc. during the normal use |
