Hi All,

I know that ACR & Call Blocking are not being offered yet. A few months back I read in these forums that there were a couple of software package that you could use that would give you the ability to do ACR & Call Blocking.

I wanted to find out what people are using, how much success they have had and how easily it is installed and configured.

Thanks!

Nick

I just received and installed the Caller ID Privacy Manager from Privacy Corps, and while expensive at $110 delivered, it works perfectly right out of the box. I simply set it to send all calls without a valid Caller ID Name or Number to VoiceMail. It intercepts the incoming call, so no phone rings at all, it just silently allows the call to go to VoiceMail. With Vonage, it is easy to have it control ringing on all your phones by connecting the Vonage adapter to the Caller ID Manager input, and the output of the Caller ID Manager to my home wiring. It also allows other time of day control, sleep mode, and call lists that I'm not using but could be useful to others. So two months of my phone bill savings with Vonage have gone to purchase this, which isn't too bad. It would have been even better if Vonage saw fit to offer ACR themselves, which I'm sure they probably will. At least this way, I don't care how long it takes them!!

ChrisFix,
Thanks for the info! This product looks quite promising my only thought is spending $100 when the PAP2 has the capability of doing all of this all ready. It's just a matter of when Vonage will unlock the features. Seeing as I've had my service for a year now (wow time flies!) and it's still not enabled, we could be waiting for a while.
