ISPs blocking Vonage

I signed up for Vonage Voip today and was told by a friend that some ISPs ''try to block'' or 'disrupt' Vonage service. I currently have Comcast Voip, but will be moving to an area serviced by Cox ISP in a month. Is this ''blocking/disrupting'' something I should concern myself with, or is it just ''gossip''

I have been very impressed with Vonage so far, the sign up process, the website, and of course the price structure Wink

There is some truth, but it was dealt with.

You will be fine with your ISP.

Yeah you should be fine. Brighhouse who is my provider offers Digital Phone for 39.95 a month if you have cable, which I dont. But Vonage works great over their network and no blocking. As long as you dont have a mexican ISP you should be good to go!

All Mexican ISPs are now in CA Very Happy

Do a Google search for Mexico Blocking on this site. It was a real issue last winter/spring.

Hey Kevin,

We've got one of those in my neighborhood too, except it says AT&T or Bell Atlantic or something like that on it. It too is missing the phone with the wires just exposed -- just like in your picture, except with an American company name in America. Eek
