Anybody have any experience with the Call Hunt feature. It's not working for me. I have Call Hunt set up through the Vonage web interface so that if line 1 is busy, it hunts to line 2. I've had Vonage for a couple of weeks, and it has never worked. If Call Hunt is set up, and I'm on line 1, and somebody else calls line 1, they get a busy signal. I've called Vonage Tech Support, but they're clueless. Any ideas?

I have never tried call hunt but I did read in earlier posts that it was problematic.

For me, when I am on a line and someone calls, it beeps on my phone on the call waiting portion and if I don't answer it, it goes to voicemail. They do not get a busy signal.

My suspicion is that you might not have enabled voicemail or call waiting on your Vonage. Double check that. Then test it out again. Stay on the line calling your VM and call from your cell. It should beep and then if you don't answer, it will send the call to VM.

I think something is not configured correctly.

I cannot speak for call hunt since I have never tried it.

I'm running a 6-line call hunt. Although I'm still having difficulties getting 5 consecutive incoming calls, I have solved most of the other problems that this forum is reporting.

I found myself a technician in Vonage who knows this stuff inside and out. It's hit or miss with tech support. Some of those guys are really good and some are utterly incompetent. Anyway, here is your fix.

For nearly every problem with call hunt (i.e. busy signals, call waiting beeps, calls to voicemail) all you need to do is take the following steps.

MAKE SURE YOU LOG IN AND OUT OF YOUR WEB ACCOUNT AFTER EVERY STEP.

1) Remove Call Hunt Sequence
2) Enable, Log Out, Log In, and Disable voicemail on each line individually
3) Disable call waiting on each line individually (Call Hunt fails to do this automatically most of the time, even though it says it did.
4) Recreate the Call Hunt Sequence

I haven't tried using the voicemail function after fixing the problem. I just use an answering machine. I would imagine that you could setup one voicemail after fixing the problem without causing too much trouble.
