Look
here
for the instructions about upgrading the firmware. Look for the post by dwright530 about 60% down the page. It includes the password.

Post subject: WRT54G with RTP300
After reading all of this and other threads, I have decided I need to run a WRT54G in front of my RTP300. I stopped by a BB today and dug around and found 2 ver. 3's on the bottom of the stack, got them to hold it for me until I can get back.
The RTP300 seems to be a adequate piece of hardware for the everyday surfer, but the QOS either does not work or works poorly. I like to play online games and my wife uploads files for work. during those times I have noticed a loss in voice quality.
My question is what would be a simple 3rd party firmware to try. QOS is my main concern. I also have no use for the wireless right now. would like to be able to turn off the wireless completely. I'm not very knowledge on networking, just the basics, but I like to tinker.
Thanks
Greg
