Post subject: L2TP IPSec VPN with RT31P2 since PPTP won't work?
I have been reading everything on this site in regards to establishing a VPN connection to a VPN server BEHIND the RT31P2 from outside.
First of all, I would like to thank this site for all of the valuable info!
My setup looks like this:
Internet --> RT31P2 --> Windows Server 2003 & other PCs
PPTP apparently doesn't work because of a bug in the firmware of the RT31P2. I had it working fine with my old, pre-vonage, router.
Is IPSec also affected by this bug? I haven't been able to get it working either, even with ports 500 and 4500 forwarded to my internal VPN server.
Has anyone successfully established any type of VPN connection to a server running behind their RT31P2?

So nobody has been able to make this work?
Can someone tell me that it has been proven not to work?

I do not have my VPN setup at the moment but I have used IPSec through the router in the past. PPTP is broken in the firmware.
