On the topic of bandwidth, I tried to use the speedtester last night on the Vonage website, but without success.
I seem to be able to guage my Download speeds via some other testers I've found (not Vonage), but not my Upload speed.
I was trying behind my Linksys router, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Any thoughts?
Any suggestions where I can find a good free bandwidith tester somewhere on the web that can measure both my download & upload speeds?
My download was good last night, about 2.6 MEG, but it varies...I think my upload might only be about 128K or so, but I really don't know. |

The company that I work for recently bought a software package called CETA (Collaboration Environment Testing & Analysis). It has a great bandwidth tester included. It is a point to point tester, so it gives the ACTUAL amount of bandwidth available, especially as it pertains to all Voip products.
The site is http://www.TrilogySolutions.com
The product specific page ishttp://www.TrilogySolutions.com/CETA
It also works with several DoD collaboration software platforms, including Defense Collaboration Tool Suite (DCTS), Ezenia's InfoWorkSpace (IWS), First Virtual Conference Servers, WebEx, Groove, IBM Lotus Notes and several more. |
