I moved to Vonage from Ma Bell via another voip company. Previously I had an unlisted number with ma, and with the other voip company -- on outgoing calls, my phone number showed up as unlisted on the receiving phone.
Can't seem to find this switch on Vonage anywhere.
Suggestions? thanks. Z |

It's per call. You'd have to dial *67 before each call to block your CID. |

Call and ask them to turn on the Private setting on the ATA. Its there but they do not turn it on. Be real nice about it and they may do it for you, they did for me. |

Which leads to: If vonage does this for you. Does the *82 code then work to show your caller Id to those POTS customers that have filtering on. Does *82 work in vonage? |

Unfortunately, despite earlier posts on this thread, Vonage continues to deny the existence of a permanent *67 function that blocks phone numbers on outgoing calls. The most recent denial came today from a Vonage supervisor, John in Holmdel, NJ.
Any ideas or contacts on the outgoing phone number block would be appreciated.
I’ve been disappointed in the level of support Vonage has been providing. First level support is not helpful, and commitments of email responses or call-backs from supervisors are not fulfilled. Attempts to transfer an additional phone line have now dragged on for nearly six weeks.
Thanks again. |
