Post subject: Unlimited softphone!
I have seen other posts with people complaining about the lack of ability to have unlimited softphone minutes or to combine softphone minutes with regular line minutes. I have found two ways to overcome this (the first of which doesn't work in Canada):
1) Use click-2-call to place the softphone call. I have tested this, and calls made using click-2-call show up under 'Free minutes used' line in billing. My guess is this works because you then can't use softphone in multiple places in this manner, since it calls back to the softphone application before placing the call.
2) The other way is to place calls using the regular line, and then once connected, transfer the call to your softphone line. This counts as in incoming call on softphone (which is free) and uses (un)limited minutes on the primary line.
Hopefully this information will help other users. I think option #1 is the easiest to use, while #2 is less desirable, but still makes it possible.
