2nd Level LNP support?

I've been attempting to switch a Verizon phone number to Vonage for over a month. Originally DSL was on the line and that was removed. However, Vonage insists that there is some pending order on the line though Verizon insists there is none. Is there a second level LNP support that I could contact at Vonage to get this resolved? What I need is Vonage and Verizon on a conference call and forcing that might be literally the best option. Anyone else have suggestions?

I have had a Verizon telephone number for 25 years. Were you successful transferring your number from Verizon to Vonage? What was the process.

I've dealt with 2 number transfers with Verizon. The first was in Virginia with a phone number that I'd had for 2 years. I did not have DSL on the line. The transfer went smoothly and happened in about 3 weeks. The second was in Maryland with a phone number that we'd had for 20+ years and the line initially did have DSL on it but that was removed. It's been about 6 weeks so far and I'm still trying to get this resolved as I'm being told by Vonage that they think there's a pending order on the line preventing the transfer but there is no such order according to Verizon. However, I do have a specific person at Vonage that I'm working with this issue on so I'm more hopeful now.

I called Verizon and they say they do have LNP. But Vonage says that they do not have any numbers in that area available. I was issued a number in the same area code but a different city. I want my old number back in the same city. Vonage says is can't be done. Do you have any ideas on how to accomplish this transfer?
