My RTP300 turned up yesterday which was a surprise as i didn't get the shipped email they said I would. It is all set up fine and everything works Smile
Just a few things:

I have got a busy tone a few times on picking up the phone and I have to hang up a few times before I get a dial tone - is this usual? It doesn't happen all the time - maybe 50% of the calls have made.

When I try to click on the voicemail tab in my account manager it goes to an error page every time - is this an ongoing problem or is it something I should call Vonage about?

Is there a way to have my name show up on people's caller ID when I call them?

The box they sent me only has two ports for phones. I had originally called Vonage about getting service in my office where we need 4 (3 phone 1 fax) lines and after doing a speed check etc they said this was not a problem - do they have other boxes for more lines or would we need 2 boxes?

Hello..

welcome to the Vonage forums, and welcome to Vonage..

I hve not heard anything about a busy signal on first pick-up, you could try to do a reset of yoru router.. unplug yoru RTP300, press the reset button on the back of the ATA and hold the button in whil you plug power cord back in, hold that button for over 15secs, and then release, wait untill all lights are steady and then try again.. othewise you'll have to call tech serv.

not sur ebaout your voicemail problem, I just checked mine and its working, there was slight delay in load time, but it loaded fine.. try again today, maybe it was a problem last night..

sorry, your name will not show on CID, this is a very common complaint, but there is no resolution or even a future resolution in sight Sad

all the ATA's are for 2 lines only, if you ventually add more lines, they can add one to your current ATA and they will ship you a second one fot the other 2 lines.. make sure you have a very reliable internet connection before attempting lines at one time.. try the speed test http://www.vonage-forum.com/voip-speed-test.html here and see what it says..

Thanks - I have done the speed test and we actually swapped ISPs in order to do this (our old ISP is also our current phone company and we are not happy with either service).

Vonage seems to have fixed the voicemail problem - I still get a busy tone sometimes, but thats no big deal, as long as I can actually make the call - hanging up a few times before making the call won't hurt me.

I got a virtual number for the UK so my family can call me and was only charged for 1/2 the month so that it renews on the same day as my bill and it was set up instantly Smile

We are going to try it out for a few more weeks before deciding whether to port over our # or keep it as a 2nd line althoughj if it all works out it will be nice to save the extra $50 a month
