My Voicemail indicator & stutter tone doesnt stop blinking - and I cleared all messages, rebooted router, and modem.

The indicators has been working fine for months.

I left myself a message, then deleted it - and the indicator finally went off - but then a minute later it went on again.

Ta da! Fixed it myself.

I went to my Vonage website DASHBOARD and DISABLED VOICE MAIL. Then waited a minute and turned it back on - voila - no more voicemail indicator blinking...

Sure, that worked until I got another message, then the indicator went back on and stayed on again. Oh well - its time for dialing in to Vonage.

that's certainly one way to do it. But it would be a pain in the neck to have to do that everytime. Instead, others have suggested hitting the * (star) button on your phone after you are done deleting all messages. This seems to fix the problem for me.

I've noticed my studder tones and vm indicator lights take 2-5 minutes to deactivate after a message has been deleted.

I am having the same problems this morning, although it was never a problem before... I wonder if something is going wrong with Vonage's voicemail system this morning? I've deleted all of my messages, yet still the stutter dial tone remains.

Actually, I discovered what the problem is... this seems to be a bug in Vonage's software. If you delete your voicemail messages through the web interface but they're still marked as "new" in the web system, the dial tone will still stutter because it thinks you still have new messages... even if you've moved those messages to the trash. So you actually have to DELETE them from the TRASH in the web interface in order to get the dial tone to stop stuttering. I would report this to Vonage as a bug in their system -- if we move a voicemail to the trash, our dial tone should stop stuttering.

Same here. I deleted messages via the web yesterday evening and the stutter tone is still active today at 5pm. I called them and they told me it's a known issue they are working on since currently it can take up to 24 hours for the stutter tone to reset after deleting messages from voice mail. I was told if it continues after 24 hours (post-deletion), then I should call back and they would create a ticket for the engineers to look at.

Note: After deleting them via the web, I have no messages in the "trash" bin on the web site interface, so I had nothing to clear out for some reason.

I also tried disabling VM, logging out, logging back in, re-enabling VM, then logging out again. No luck -- still get stutter tones.

By the way - web interface is terribly slow today and my internet connection is fine so it seems to be just the Vonage account site.
