Post subject: Official Website?
Hi all,
I'm just wondering, is this an official website? With
Vonage
Employees moderating and answering queries?
I just signed up with
Vonage
today and thought I'd better get familiar with support just in case.
I noticed that in a few of the UK Posts, questions have apparently been answered by the UK Managing Director who has a forum title of
Vonage
Voip
Junior
I've also noticed a lot of peoples questions have gone unanswered.
Perhaps this website is owned and run by
Vonage
customers but has the consent of the
Vonage
company?
My apologies for the questions, I'd just like to know why some posts go unanswered (posts which I'd like the answers to - so I'm sure a lot of people would aswell.)
Thanks

Hi Stu:
This site is not an official
Vonage
web site, it is owned and operated by me, Dan Connor.
I am not an employee of
Vonage
, but I have been a long time customer (one of the first) and supporter (first affiliate)..., I have met with the top execs...blah, blah.
What has happened, just by the nature of the content, is this site has become the most authoritative
Vonage
content related site.
While
Vonage
employees do post on this site, they do so independently.
We are most pleased to see Kerry Ritz taking the time to actively post and welcome all other employees to do the same. (The title "junior" is tied to the number of posts a member has made.)
Why do some post go unanswered? Well, thats just the way forums are. Some get replied to within minutes, some do not.
I hope this helps.

Hi Dan,
Thanks for the answers
Definately a great website you got here, and yes I can understand why posts go unanswered.
And don't take it as a complaint that posts go unanswered. It's just that if it were an official forum, manned by people who were paid to answer the posts, then they wouldn't have been doing their job!
But thanks for the clarification!
Oh, and maybe you should consider adding a user group for
Vonage
employees, so that us Plebians can distinguish between speculation and offical comments. The user group would of course require you gaining confirmation from
Vonage
in some manner that the employee does work there - but as you seem to be friends with the big boys it shouldn't be a problem
Kind regards

I have spoken to many of the members that are employees, they do not wish to use the user group feature.
If the employee wishes to be identified as an employee, we do have a simple means of verification.
Those employees are recognized by the title "Vonage Representative" and the avatar:
