I recently just purchased Vonage and switched to using the WRTP54G. I was using BEFW11S4 and the internet worked fine. Now that I have the new router and phone set up my phone works but my Internet does not. I have to reset the router, or unplug it to use the net again. Please help, I have been on with tech support for 3 hours and they still can't figure it out.

I have the same issue as previous poster. I HAD an RT31P2 that Vonage had shipped me in January 2005. Lately, it had been giving me so many problems (phone and internet service sporadic, constantly having to reset to get it to work) that I just decided to buy a new router to hopefully solve my problems. (Should Vonage have had to replace it or give me a new one? Was it covered under warranty? I've had such terrible experience getting Vonage to even acknowledge or reply to previous emails for help I just decided to bag it and buy one on my own.) So I bought a new WRT54GP2. My twelve year old technically savvy son installed it and set it up, with only one problem: there is now no voice service. I get a female voice recording when I pick up the handset saying that "Try plugging the line into the other port" but when I do, the same thing happens. We can't for the life of us figure out what to do. Any help out there???????

you have to call and tell them you got a new device. they can't read your mind or your network.
yes they could have replaced your device if you proved you had a reason to. email isn't the way to go though, calling is about the only option.

If you have no phone light, then the voice response you're getting from the unit is normal, and simply reflects the fact that the unit is unable to establish voice service. Have you called customer service and registered the new device? It will not work for voice service until you do.
