Did they indicate whether they planned to push a general firmware update to fix it for everyone?

They didn't indicate whether there would be a general push. However, my CID stopped working again today. It worked fine for the rest of the day yesterday after the voltage boost, but today it worked only sporadically. I unplugged an upper level phone, which seemed to fix it somewhat. There are still missing numbers.

I'll call CS again, but this is getting quite frustrating.

Yeah. I was all excited at first but my CID has failed again. It worked fine for over a day and then nothing again. Ridiculous.

I hate to be cynical, but I'm taking all reports of fixes with a grain of salt now. They just don't seem to hold up.

Well yeah.

What bugs me is that it worked perfectly for days and then just stopped again. It's curious to say the least.

OTOH, I really really don't understand how it can take so long to fix a problem like this, especially since they were the ones that broke it in the first place.

Same here. My CID worked at first, now it is intermittent. My CID indicator light on my phone also worked right after the .55 upgrade, but not that has stopped working too. I have a WRTP54G. Everything worked fine before the .52 firmware.

Hello,

If your RTP300 has been reset - by you or by Vonage - there is a good chance the voltage settings have reverted to default. This will cause CID to not function consistently again. The default under fw .55 is 48. Until the next firmware release, if your RTP300 is reset, the voltage setting will need to be changed again by calling CS. YMMV

I'm just not clear at all how I can have partial CID. Name and number show, but date and time are 0/0 and 12:00AM. Anyone have any technical understanding of how CID works, and if this is perhaps voltage-related, or any other possible reasons why? I've not had caller ID be totally out; but for nearly a month now, I've been missing date and time information.

This caller ID thing is really irking me. I've sent numerous emails, and never get a reply. I don't have two hours at a pop to sit around waiting on hold for someone to not help me (tried this once already).

I'm about ready to cancel. How can support emails go utterly unanswered for 3+ weeks? Not even a "we got your email" reply... NOTHING.

I"m really, really frustrated, and really have this feeling now that Vonage doesn't give a rat's ass. It's a shame, as until recently, I'd been well, WELL beyond satisfied. What has happened to Vonage? Someone recently suggested they've finally grown up and have become like a real phone company. I laughed, but at the same time, I couldn't help but agree with what would seem to be truth. Neutral

*sigh* What to do....

I ended up solving the callerid issue myself by downgrading my firmware to 1.00.47 and not allowing any updates to my RTP300. Unfortunately the ON_HOOK_VOLTAGE adjustment from 48 to 45 with the new firmware does not seem to fix the CID issue (at least for me).
