I still am on the receiving end of getting the the best of both worlds.
RTP300 (excellent sound quality, especially with my new Uniden Tru phones) and working callerID with firmware 1.00.47. I agree, I can't believe

hasn't come out with a new firmware to address this... But then again when they were releasing a new version every other week they ended up breaking callerID so my guess is that they are being very careful this time. One can hope.

Don't know if the helps anyone or not but i found it interesting that our caller id will work if my wife is on the other line but does not work if we are not on the phone... crazy huh... and for those of you who do not know i have the RTP300 router. I hope this gets fixed soon my wife is getting mad... Do you think it would help if i call customer service and complained?

Have you called CS yet? I called them last week, and they twiddled with something, and caller ID's been working 100% on my WRTP54G (which is very similar to the 300's) ever since.
Now I fear 1.00.58, which is supposedly out very soon.

Hey NateHoy,
Any idea what they changed??? Could it have possibly been the ring cadence and the on_hook_voltage that I mentioned in one of my previous posts? Just curious.

I think they sacrificed a cow. Or spread some faerie dust. He didn't say, I didn't ask.

You probably got release 1.00.58. CallerID seems to be fixed in that release.

58 was pushed to me last night. Caller ID was 100% during the day, as compared with 50% typical with 55.

Steve, that is some really good news for you indeed! Great to hear your CID is FINALLY working correctly!!!
Looks like .58 is turning out to be good overall so far....

Absolutely amazing! I was getting by with 1.00.47 but now the bugs truly seemed to be worked out in 1.00.58! I was getting a weird extra short ring on one of my phones after each ring and now that is gone! CallerID is workin 100% and Ring cadence is normal. I would love to see a trail of what they addressed....
