Hmmm...
I tried again after about an hour and this time the home phone rang, but not my wifes' cell phone.
When I tried to explain to my wife what I was trying to test, she gave me the "Why would you want to do that?" line. "We have voice mail to get missed calls - why would you have it forwarded to my cell phone?"
sigh
I guess it doesn't matter anymore. |

Most women just don't care about the 'wow' factor when it comes to technology. I gave ip a long time ago trying to show 'cool' stuff to my wife. She just shakes her head and realizes she married a geek.

This is a cool feature however I wish you could make it forward to different numbers based on time of day. For example it would be cool if it forwarded to my work number 7 to 3:30 and my cell at other times. |

I have been using this feature since I signed up for Vonage. It used to be that you could only ring one other phone, but it has been upgraded to ring several lines simultaneously.
It has always worked for me and I like only giving my home number out to my friends and associates... no more call me here, or there, etc.
SimulRing is one of my favorite features!

The one problem that I have noticed with the simulring feature is that if you have vonage ring your cell, you cannot call your vonage line from the cell as vonage tries to call the cell phone, but because it is busy, the cell goes straight to voicemail cancelling out your call. |

Yes, and because of this, I wish the SimulRing feature would do this...
Assuming that my Vonage line SimulRings my cell phone... If I call my home with my cell phone, it would be nice if Vonage "catches" my Caller ID and recognizes that it matches my SimulRing number, so it disables SimulRing for that line (for current call only). This would then put the call through and allow me to call home with my cell phone.

I'd be happy if they added a mobile phone internet friendly way of turning simuilring on and off. At least you could disable it if you forgot to deactivate it. |
