Post subject: Caller-ID not working with call waiting
Caller-ID seems to work just fine on a regular incoming call. However, when the call-waiting tone is heard, I don't see any caller-id information on the phone. I've tried this on two different phones: one Uniden cordless and a corded AT&T wall phone w/caller id.
Here's the other info:
Location: Pompton Lakes, NJ
ISP: OptimumOnline
Modem: Motorola Surfboard
Voip
adapter: Linksys RTP300
Network: Modem->WRT54GS Router->RTP300
Any ideas?

Mine has been the same lately...And when someone else does cal in, I get a nasty tone and some static...

I spoke with a tech last evening, and he said that they're planning to release a firmware upgrade for the RTP300 that is supposed to address caller-id issues. Word is that it should be ready within a week.
We'll see what happens.
