My vm has been behaving the same way since Oct 13th. It will work correctly then it won't work at all, I'm just relying on the email notifications and just pray they don't screw that up while fixing the other. Yesterday it was fine all day, today it doesn't work. One difference though is that mine doesn't work on messages left from landlines or cell phones when it's down. One thing that's also strange is that sometimes when it's not working if I call in and listen to my messages, delete them and * out the pap indicator on my phone will light up, go off, light up, go off, if I pick up the stutter is indeed there then not then back. Then it eventually settles down and stops.

I've been emailing back and forth with customer service - 2 days ago I asked if they had an idea how long this will go on and I got back a message telling me that there's no way to give me a timeframe and that when they get it fixed it will start working! Razz

I can add that I suffer from the same problem. No voicemails, but can't get the stutter tone or the voice mail light to quite flashing. Usually, I have a friend call in, leave a few second voice mail. Then I go into voicemail and delete the message, usually resets everything. This has been going on for a year now and every time I ask Vonage, they scratch their heads and don't know what to say. It's been a long standing technical issue with the service, just wish they would fix it, LOL.

That's actually a different problem. The problem we're discussing here is when there is a voicemail waiting but you get no stutter tone and no light on your phone. The problem you're describing usually won't happen if you will remember to hit * to exit the system after you listen to your messages. I have that sometimes but only when I forget to * out. When it happens to me I log back into my voicemail, press 5 and get the message that it's an invalid option, then press * to exit and it clears it. That's what tech support had me do the first time I had it happen and it's worked to correct it ever since.

I'm still have the same identical issue as Ay. I've sent numerous emails to CS but have not heard one reply. The other day, my VM locked up and wouldn't let me log in so I called CS. They corrected the locked VM problem and I informed them of the VM and stutter tome issue. The tech told me it's a signal strengh issue with my phone adapter (RT31P2). His only solution was to re-boot the adapter and rest my VM settings. This didn't work either so I'm at a loss as what to do next.

I've tried that too, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I always exit the system with the * to try and prevent this, but it still happens. I also have the same problem of having a voicemail, but no notification. I think it's all part of the same problem because sometimes if you have 2 voicemails, checking them to delete one, exit out the system and then all of a sudden, your stutter tone and voice mail light flash again.

Again, it's been like this since I started using Vonage last year, so it's really an old problem for me, but at least I know I wasn't alone. For now, I just disabled the voice mail light on my phone and just use e-mail to know when I need to check them.
