911 dialing (according to my web account) has been disabled again. reactivating online gives an error, and customer care told me it's never been set up. fortunately I kept the email from the first time this happened.
edit: manager wayne basically said he has no idea but he would "look into it" and email me. |

no response from manager wayne. on 11/29 I received an email that said my request had been received. today I checked online and it said "edit 911 dialing address" which led me to believe it had been activated. when I clicked it, it said my address was rejected. the same one that had been accepted the two times I activated 911 dialing before. I guess that's not important enough to warrant any email or communication. so I resubmitted the same information and now it's "pending". |

I got an email the other day too saying that my 911 address could not be verified and for me to go online and fix it. Well, I dialed 933 today and it came back saying my 911 service WAS activated for my phone line. I went to the website and it said I needed to enter a valid address. I tried entering the info from the usps.gov website (like I've always done in the past) and it came back a few minutes later saying it couldn't verify my information. When I went back online to correct the address, it said I needed to call Customer Service and wouldn't let me do anything else. I called and got some guy who was very hard to understand and gave him an earful about the fact that for 2 months now my 911 address info has been just fine, but now all of a sudden it can't verify my address. I told him that I know where I live and even if I enter it on their website, it still won't verify -- that I have to use the info from the usps.gov website. I also told him that it's been fine all this time and now out of the blue it's lost my info! Man, I was so ticked!!! He opened a case and said he would send my info to their 3rd party folks and they would enter my address info manually and it should be resolved within a week. What a joke!!! Come on Vonage, get your act together!!! It's things like this that make you wonder how they can even run their company! Do they have people working in their IT department that all of sudden decided to wipe out entire databases or something. It's sure what it seems like!!! GEEESH!!!!!! |
