insists that I have ver 1.00.52 whereas my Linksys WRTP54G still says the same thing it has from day one, 1.00.18. Who should I believe? Anyone else have this experience?
Turn off any web browser accelerators, open your browser, clear the cache, close the browser, re-open the browser and try checking your firmware version then. It could be that your web browser has the original page cached and it's not seeing the update.

Yes do those steps, it may be cached it's true. It's more likely that on Vonage's end, your account is showing version 52 because that's what they have selected to have loaded on your machine. However, if the device didn't successfully take the change and write the new firmware, it's going to display the old version, and tha change will still be waiting to be taken by your device.
I would try holding the reset button down until you see the power light flash, then it should go solid, then you release the reset button. The device will clear any and all user defined settings, then check in with
Vonage
and take any updates to its profile. If you see the power light flashing (you may have to wait up to 5 mintues to see this) that means it's writing new firmware.
Or do like I suggested before, get hold of the new image and manually upgrade yourself.

My voicemail indicator light no longer turns on after the .52 update. Anyone else having this problem? I have the stutter tone, but no light. I have a V-Tech cordless phone.

Hey guys....ever since they pushed this version onto my router I have had ridiculous problems....I havent been able to use m
Voip
for a week!
Basically when my ethernet is plugged into my laptop I get perfect speed and everything (bittorrents up to 213kB/s)....then when I plug that into my 1.00.52 router everything goes lame! I cant get speeds higher than 16kB/s and it keeps losing the wireless connection even though the router is no further than 9 inches away. But the worst part is that when i try to make a phone call most people can hear me fine, average, but I hear about every other word!!!
My cell phone barely works in my apartment so basically I have to go to the lab to do anything. My girlfriend is about to flip because of this. Someone please help!!!

Any idea when it might be out? The
Vonage
tech told me it was supposed to be yesterday.

Come on....spring for the Uniden Tru-series...All the cool kids are doing it!
I finally broke down and bought a
Uniden TRU 8866
. I set it up this morning and used the speakerphone when my wife called me from her cellphone. She reported no echo problems and said that the sound quality was very good.
Looks like it's time to retire the old Panasonic phone.
With this issue resolved, it also looks like the RTP-300 is finally solid enough to port my existing Verizon land line number to my
Vonage
line. Time to hit the Number Transfer forum to find out how to best go about transferring my business number without messing up the other landline with DSL I want to keep.
