Post subject: Getting Vonage Business to work with our 3 line phone system
OK I am the IT system admin for our business and we are thinking about switching to
Vonage
Currently we have 3 phone lines and a fax line with DSL on it.
The fax line will be kept with verizon in order for the DSL to work.
All phones have voicemail and can answer/dial out on any of the 3 lines.
Are there any suggestions or precautions we should take before we decide to switch over. Anyone else experience any problems getting it to work with a similiar phone system?
Another thing im trying to decide is how to get all of our phones hooked to the phone adaptors. Apparently we will receive just 2 adaptors, anyone have an idea on how many we will need or any suggestions on how to get this working?
Any other suggestions for this setup would be appreciated.
Thanks ahead of time..

jbecker, you didn't say which phone system you have...
What you get from your local telco should be a mounting block with a RJ45 jack on it. You can unplug from this jack and go into the back of the
Voip
routers
Vonage
will send.
The most common issue with phone systems and
Vonage
seems to be that the phone system doesn't recognize when calls end, when using Linksys routers. It's a signal called CPC. This is a simple fix described in this post:

.
I'd also recommend searching for "PBX" and reading the issues and fixes for others that are already using
Vonage
for their business telecom.
Good luck...
