Hi! I'm having the same issues. My fax (Brother Intellifax 1270) was working fine until 3/29/04. Now I cant get a fax to go thru at all. I've spent the last two days on the phone/email with Verizon (I have their DSL) and Vonage. Nik from Vonage has been very helpful, but so far nothing has been resolved. Vonage says it is a DSL issue, Verizon says my numbers are all good....I am soooooooooooooo frustrated! |

we are having the same problem...vonage has advised us to lower the baud rate on the fax machine (HP 920) to 9600 bps but this is not possible on our machine, it is set at 14000...we have a cable broadband hook-up not dsl but we installed a dsl filter anyway as they advised us to do...it hasn't helped...i also turned off the error correction mode on the machine...no change...vonage seriously need to fix this problem...if anyone makes any headway on this please post asap...thanks...del |

Hey everyone, I am having the same problems with my hp 3100. I can recieve fine but when I try to send sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. For some reason when I try to send to efax numbers it doesn't work either. Has anyone made any headway with this or are we fighting a losing battle. I've tried to lower my buad but on my fax I have no idea how to do that, it's so old I don't even know if I can. |

I had a HP6100 so I thought by purchasing a 7130, that would be better. It worse. And for all of you that can't figure out how to change the baud rate because they never listed it in the book, call HP, they can walk you though it, but it didn't help me at all. Good luck. (The filter didn't work either.) |

Most HP Officejets should be able to have their baud rates changed. However, you need to talk with HP customer service rep because there is a chance that you can fry your machine and void the warranty. Call the HP service number at 1-800-474-6836. They were helpful when I called and helped me to change the baud rate to 9600.
