I have recently moved from the US to the UK. Currently I have a US number (New York 212 number) and a UK virtual number. I would like to move to Vonage in the UK, but only if I can keep my existing US number as a virtual number - anyone know if this is possible? Anyone done this?
Yes, it is possible to transfer your US number to a UK account as a US virtual number if the original number was assigned by Vonage in the US. If you ported the number from another provider in new york (eg verizon) then you wont be able to do it.
You will need to contact UK customer service and arrange to transfer the number once you have signed up for the UK service.
This has been done numerous times with US expats who have moved to the UK.
