This next week I am on call for work and I am trying to figure out my contact info. I have a transfer date of Oct 10 which is Monday. My status is all below, does it appear that mine will be complete without a hitch or sometimes do transfers still fail after you have been given a date?

Current Status: Transfer in Process
Transfer Date: October 10, 2005

Updated Date: Number Transfer Progress History: Required Action
September 27, 2005 Awaiting Letter of Authorization
September 28, 2005 Letter of Authorization (LOA) Received
October 1, 2005 Carrier Approved Transfer
October 2, 2005 Transfer Sent to Carrier

I hate to say it but my log is as follows;

August 19, 2005 Awaiting Letter of Authorization
August 20, 2005 Letter of Authorization (LOA) Received
August 21, 2005 Transfer Sent to Carrier
August 25, 2005 Carrier Approved Transfer

I also received an e-mail on the 23rd of August that said my service would transfer on the 25th. It is now October 6th and nothing has taken place. Further I have fought tooth and nail with my carried (Verizon) and Vonage to try and sort out the problem. In my research over the last 40 days or so I have found that once the carrier is approved it is usually an exception rather than the rule that the transfer is delayed.

My transfer went really smooth and quick. The date they sent me that the transfer would be complete is the day it got transfered.

Sept: 22 is when the request was sent in and Sept: 30th is when the transfer was complete.

Pretty fast. What is that, 8 days?

How can the carrier approve the transfer on Oct 1 before the transfer was sent on Oct 2?

when they posted my date, I transferred on that date. It took about 25 days. I was sorry it took so long but have had Vonage for 5 months and have had no problems. Best service I've ever had!!

Good Luck
