Just to start off, my problem is not hardware based, but is something wrong on Vonages side. When a landline calls my virtual number (which I have until my LOA goes through and my local number is ported), it immediatly tells them "Im sorry, but this line has been disconnected." Calls from other Vonage phones to it, and my unported local number go through fine. I can also make calls with no problem.
I called the first time, and after some looking around, he made up a service 'ticket' and said it would be corrected in 48 hours or so. Two days later, today, I still cant recieve calls. So I call again, and tell him I have a ticket and my problem, and after being on hold for a while, he gives me another 'ticket' and says 48 hours.
So what can I do? Is there somethign Im missing? Will I just not be able to recieve calls until my local number ports over?
Thanks. |

That's pretty bad. If I were you I think I would escalate things a bit. Call them back, and if they can't fix it right away, demand to talk to a supervisor. Tell him you've already waited your 48 hours and you want service now. |

You could always fly to NJ and find a random Vonage employee out having a cigarette on break and beat the living **** out of him |

Seems a bit drastic. Of course it _is_ a second offense... |

It works now!
Now if my number will just port over, I'll be a happy camper. |

Did you have to call customer service again?
Transfer of my number took about 3 weeks, finishing 1 month ago. |

No, I just let it slide, and it worked out.
I figure I'll need to save up all my screaming at the techies for the number porting fiasco that is bound to happen, lol.
In all fairness, things are going pretty swell so far. |

Mine is going pretty well too. There are some minor irritations, but by and large I'm having fun with it and saving money at the same time. |
