My calls are all over Kentucky, and today its started happening intermittantly. I can call a number get cut off and keep getting cut off, some numbers I get cut off but can reconnect, sometimes I have no problem at all.

I didn't have any problems with that yesterday, but I did have a period of time where the phone would only ring for ~ 1/4 second, which was barely enough to cause the phone to ring. Only my line powered phone would ring (more of a blip) and the more sophisticated phones never rang. Power cycling didn't do any good, but it seems to be resolved now.

I too am experiencing disconnects when in the middle of a conversation. It is unexpected when it happens and have to call the person back and apologize for him/her getting disconnected. This has been happening at least 3 time a week for the past 3 weeks.

I've had the same problem as well. Every few days I will call voicemail, enter my password, start to listen to a message, and a sudden busy signal will happen. I end the call, try to call back, but have to wait for a few moments to check the messages again since I'm still technically connected.

I've also had the problem when calling other people, all of which do not have Vonage. I'll start a call, will connect, and shortly into it (usually less than a minute) the busy signal disconnect will happen.

I talked to tech support (very nice) re my post above. She adjusted my bandwidth settings to the lowest setting and also said that she was decreasing the "packetization" for my account, whatever that means.

At our office here we have wireless Internet (1-2Mb up and down) and adsl. We were running our Vonage phones (all three of them) through the dsl connection but I just switched it to the wireless.

I'll report back if there's any marked improvement.

We're having the same problem. I was told by Level 2 support that the packetization level setting on our account is causing the problem. We have it set to 10 so our CPI security system will work with Vonage. Support told me a new company is handling the routing of our calls and cannot handle the packetlization level set to 10 so our voice calls are being terminated by the system.

So I have to choose between keeping it at 10 for our security to work or switch it to 20 to fix the voice calls. Very frustrating. I'm going to work with CPI and see if their system can now handle a packetization level of 20. It's been a long time since the system was installed.
