Anyone have any updates on the voicemail indicator function on the RTP300?

I have a Uniden 8866 phone system. On my old Motorola VT1005 and on a PAP2, the system would work well with the Uniden's voicemail indicator.

Using an RTP300, the voicemail indicator on the Uniden gets stuck on all the time.

I called Vonage, just to see if there was some setting, Like *70 that needed to be turned on, on the RTP300. No such luck.

Hopefully TI will put out another firmware fix.

wierd.. Does everyone on Vonage use the same voicemail server? Maybe some of the Vonage voicemail servers behave differently.

There have been a few voicemail quirks as of late...has this been going on ever since you got the RTP300, everytime there is a message left?

My voicemail has been working fine... but I just got the RTP 300 last week and notice that the phone light on the RTP 300 does a slow flash (as oppossed to a fast flash when phone is in use) whenever I have a voice-mail message. Didn't have that happen on the RT31P2.

My internet light on the RTP 300 also flashes pretty steadily, but at a variable rate. I thought it was supposed to stay solid. I followed all the directions for setup... and everything works wonderfully... just wondering about that flashing blue internet light!

yes the blinking phone light vmail indicator is new to the device.
the instructions are wrong, anytime you hook up a router or anything else to a cable modem that lets you see traffic, it will basically always have some traffic going across it.

I've only had the RTP300 for about a week and used it a total of about 8 hours. I keep switching back to my old standby Motorola.

Maybe the issues are related to Vonage service rather then the device. Its just wierd that the Motorola is working fine within the same few minutes after I switch.

I noticed the flashing line indicator on the RTP300 for voicemail.

Just tried switching back to the RTP300 again. No voicemails on the system before I tried this. I went into the web interface and disabled voicemail and re-enabled it. Powered off my Uniden.
Steps:

1.Changed from Motorola VT1005 to RTP300
2.Waited for adapter to sync
3.verified that I could make phone calls - waited like 5-10 minutes.
4.Made a call from my cell phone. Left a voicemail
5.Vmail indicator took like 4 minutes to turn on (normally within 1 min with the Motorola). Stutter tone and flashing light on the RTP300 came on within 1 minute.
6.Waited another few minutes
7.dialed into vmail from the phone line on the rtp300 using *123. listened to vmail, deleted, hit *. Hung up phone.
8.flashing light and stutter tone goes away within 1 min.
9. vmail indicator on the Uniden has been "on" since then.. more then 15-20 mins so far.

There are three lights on right side of RTP-300 phone1 - phone2 -internet.

Believe instructions state internet light will remain steady which is wrong.

Obviously phone 2 should be dark unless you are using it. The internet light on the far right side will blink with internet activity or if your firmwire is being upgraded. The phone1 light will blink when the line is in use or when there is a vm.
