From time to time, I encounter unreasonable (30-45 second or more) delays when accessing my voicemail using *123 from my Vonage line. Additionally, there will be delays of up to 20 seconds (sometimes more) before the voicemail system will respond to input like passwords or deleting messages.
I have a speed dial set up to automatically enter my password then "1" twice for new messages. Obviously, every time Vonage's voicemail misbehaves, this doesn't work so well.
I have added extra pauses to the speed dial, etc... but it becomes ridiculous when one must enter 10 pauses to accomodate Vonage's apparently overloaded system.
Vonage tech support, as usual, is totally clueless.
Has anyone experienced these issues? How did you get it resolved? |

I should add that callers who get transferred to my voicemail when I don't answer get about 20 seconds of silence before they hear my greeting.
I called the Executive Response Team number and got the exact same 20 second delay before their greeting began to play.
Systemic issue, perhaps? This is about the 5th time this has happened in the last 6 months. Sometimes it's resolved in a day or less, other times I've had to deal with it for nearly a week. |

Yeah when I called to ask "****?", in not so many words, the guy I was on the phone with got an email about it while we were on the phone. So he was clueless at first but then an "Oh wait..." and it became a known issue. I'm waiting for an email back from him to confirm that it's been resolved. |

You can usually just look to the left here on the forum under Vonage Service Status, and see if there is an issue going on... Sometimes that VM delay does happen when they are having issues. |
