I actually believe he will get it all worked out. It may or may not be Vonage, but in five years he will probably have Voip in all his stores. The irony will occur when he goes with company B and then either B buys Vonage or Vonage buys B. I actually had that happen. Oh well.

I must admit I haven't called Vonage customer service. I may well be upset if I ever do. I do not like the way companies are outsourcing customer service and I hope Vonage isn't doing that. I called a hotel company for directions to their hotel in Kentucky and was talking to a person in the Asia. If the info wasn't on their script I was in trouble. But, if I think about it, Voip will help companies outsource customer service cheaper and easier. Now I'm depressed. Let me log onto my account and look at how much I am saving. That will cheer me up.

ROFL! Thanks for beating me to that observation. Smile He was given great solutions by more than one poster here, but he didn't want to hear them - he has been more interested in whining than in hearing solutions and taking the initiative. As has also been pointed out, his story has changed considerably from first post to now. And, I'm STILL skeptical that he got POTS phone lines and cable internet ordered AND installed within LESS than one full business day. But whatever - whining is FUN I guess! Sure glad he's not MY employee! I want folks who will take the initiative and MAKE solutions, not ones who try the first thing, then do nothing but sit and whine about how it didn't work. <shrug>

I believe they are. At least, the first time that I called CS I'm pretty sure I ended up talking to a tech in India. The accent was right. On the other hand, the last 3 times that I called I certainly seemed to be talking to people in the US.

They are not in India, despite popular beliefs. Level 1 CS is located in the Philippines.

No, not all. Many are still in NJ, it is a peak hour, over flow type of thingy.

As long as it eventually gets fixed (aka new adapter sent) and my rates don't go through the roof I don't care where the heck they are located.

I must admit to being a bit uneasy at seeing good technical jobs that could be going to fellow Americans going overseas instead, even if it does save me money. Strictly aside from that, I've rarely spoken to an overseas CS rep that I communicated with as well as I do with a native English speaker.
