Hi,
Vonage guys.....
I have suggested a number of changes to the configuration of the ATA for UK customers, many which revolved around incorrect supervisary tone content/levels. As an example you had ringback tone set at -10 which was far too loud by 9dB and ringtone was incorrectly constructed. Many of these have now been resolved but I would have thought if you got an engineer to look into these he would have reviewed all parameters for the UK market?
The latest setting I believe is incorrect is the impedance of the FXS port. According to BT SIN351 page 6 it should be 370+620//310nF (see http://www.sinet.bt.com/351v4p3.pdf).
So my concern is you have not made an effort to really address this issue and still 6 months into launch have basic errors in the ATA config.
What are the plans guys, when can I stop looking for problems and feel confident you are on the case?
Regards,
Paul |

I do get more and more of a feeling that Vonage have just thought they could transfer their US system to the UK and it would just work.
Ha, of course that's assuming the US system works
The number of things that haven't worked as per UK expectation is really disappointing, eg incoming call ring tone, Sky connectivity, ATA (thingy whatever that is!), customer services being US oriented (eg "what's Sky?").
Have I bought a pup? Oh I guess the Americans won't understand what I mean. |
