Scenario: 1. Using Linksys RT31P2 with BT Voyager 205 ADSL Modem/Router 2. Vonage service works fine, however cannot browse internet through RT31P2. 3. Internet works fine if direct cable is attached to ADSL Modem. Of course Vonage doesn't work in this case.
Please advise. Thanks |

I was having similar problems with my set up using a Belkin router but the pricipal should be the same with your set up. Basicaly have your modem/router set up as you did before you started installing the Linksys, i.e direct to your PC then plug the linksys in to the Ethernet port on your Voyager (the same as if you were connecting a 2nd PC). Then power up the Linksys and it should work and so should your normal internet. I know this isn't what the instructions say but it worked for me. |

Hello Guys -
I have been trying to hook up my BT Voyager 205 with Linksys RT31P2. Looks like they are not compatible somehow.
I am using AOL Broadband. I configured the BT Voyager 205 with the help of the following link
http://corz.org/comms/hardware/router/router.troubleshooter.php
I followed exactly what has been mentioned. Prior to following this site, I could not configure this Voyager 205. After configuration it worked fine. However, when I am linking the router , I can't browse.
CryHavok Answer to your question, yes the router does pick up the IP.
anymore suggestions, how can I configure these two thingys. I am desperate now !!!!
Thanks for your time |

Might be a daft question but have you tried technical support they are very helpfull. Freephone 0800 652 5099. Call from a mobile if possible so they can go through things with your Vonage set up. |
