well that was a fast response from
Vonage
even though it never helped. I just sitting here on a barstool (minus the beer), had to call anyway regarding my account and what all the figures mean on the billing section, got that figured out in the same call.

Hi, it's me again (no your not suppose to know me).
Here is a new one: 800-363-5900, Cole-Palmer Canada (it's on my invoice).
I had to boot up my computer, find the site, they had only the 800 number, enter my invoice number and click on "contact your vendor to get the local number: 514-355-6100.
A lot easier than finding a federal government employee local number. I took the habit of asking for one when I can (I am screwed if they leave a message). It's always a funny conversation about
Vonage
,
Voip
and all that. I even got offered to 'call you right back so you wont pay long distances'
Anyway, this 800 thing is my only problem left with
Vonage
. I must admit that Vonage's service quality has been really good for several months now. Once in a while some people tells me they can hear themselves talk on delay, but thats it. (Real annoying it used to happen to me all the time when calling).

Post subject: Toll Free Issue Resolved
You will all be happy to know that the toll free issue in Canada has now been resolved.
Any non-regional number should now be accessible through
Vonage
, meaning as long as the number can be dialied within any province in Canada you should have no issue connecting.
There will still be a limitation on 310 numbers and provincial only toll free number but the rest should work great!
I tested a few tonight and they all completed successfully. A great step forward in Canada customer service!
