nope, i had to use my Cell to call FedEx the other day, as
Vonage
led me to the US FedEx call centre..
keep a cell around, it'll come in handy for 911 and toll free calls.. haha even tho you burn airtime on the cell

You know, it would even be better to have some special number to call, which then gives you a dial tone from which I can then call Canadian 800 numbers. I don't care if I have to dial another 7 digits. [Vonage...is that possible?]

I signed up with
Vonage
about a week ago and so far every toll free number I've called has failed to to connect.
1-888-550-6333 (Canada Post) doesn't work. GRRRRR. This is the second toll free number that's failed to work for me. Since
Vonage
is my only line I have to fish around for the non toll free numbers and it's really getting annoying.
I am going to wait for a couple more weeks and then decide if I am going to return this phone. I do like the motorola
Voip
box/router as it's handy for home networking.

Why we need to list all numbers here. Why they can not find where is the root of the problem? I think they don't even look the listings here.

Back a few pages, a
Vonage
person said that they can be listed (or sent to
Vonage
) and they'll add them manually. The problem is the server is in the US and not connected to Canadian landlines. There was (is?) talk of putting a server in the Toronto area which would help, some, at calling Canadian 1-800 numbers.

Calling UPS's 1-800-Call-UPS kept going to the USA call centre, and they kept asking me if I was calling from Canada or USA..
So frustrating!

y not file a complaint with them? If all of us even in this thread do so, it may help.
It's kinda bothering when u can't call some - let's say most - toll free numbers. What if you don't have a cell or a landline around?
They should at least provide us with a temporary fix, while and if working on a solution!

Good idea, but I would be surprised that they would do it just because...
I think it is a huge problem and one can even see it because of the 10,000+ views of this *one* thread.

At least, it's better than sitting down without doing anything.
The next step would be to file a complaint with BBB.
Vonage
already has an Unsatisfactory record there.
