I'm surprised I haven't seen this question yet.

How do you setup "High Priority" for your phone calls with the RPT300 and the firmware 1.00.50? The instructions and screenshots in the manual don't match what I see for the router (looks like they are instructions/screenshots for 1.00.47 and earlier).

Under the QoS meny, I have:

=====================================================
QoS: <Enable_checkbox> <Disable_checkbox>

Priority High Medium Low

FTP <high_checkbox> <medium_checkbox> <low_checkbox>
HTTP <high_checkbox> <medium_checkbox> <low_checkbox>
Telnet <high_checkbox> <medium_checkbox> <low_checkbox>
SMTP <high_checkbox> <medium_checkbox> <low_checkbox>
POP3 <high_checkbox> <medium_checkbox> <low_checkbox>
Specific Port# <textbox_for_port_#> <high_checkbox> <medium_checkbox> <low_checkbox>
Specific Port# <textbox_for_port_#> <high_checkbox> <medium_checkbox> <low_checkbox>
Specific Port# <textbox_for_port_#> <high_checkbox> <medium_checkbox> <low_checkbox>

<Save Settings buttom> <Cancel Settings Button>
=====================================================

Are they simply setting the Voip port(s) to High (which is what I would want anyway) all the time or do I have to manually add them in the custom fields?

Thanks for any insight...

Igor

According to Linksys, QoS is not yet available for Voip on this router. Why they advertise it on the box is beyond me. I set up a m0n0wall PC to handle QoS and it works great.

If QoS did work, the way to give Voip priority would be to set all of the other services to medium or lower priority. Setting it all for high is giving everything the same priority, which totally negates the purpose of QoS. Running QoS on my WRT54GS router with excellent results. Bittorrent/FTP servers don't down my Voip connection at all.

Can you explain how you configured the M0n0wall QOS screens? I tried a while ago and didn't really "get it." Thanks.

This basic config will get the job done. You can tweak it from here:

It is because of QoS being enabled on the RTP300 that my 3way calling feature stopped working. Turned it off and all is good again.

there's more to the story than that. whether you know what it is or not, I don't know, but it's not because qos is broke. it must be something like you don't have enough upstream bandwidth, set the qos limit too low, or some other issue.
