Internet goes offline when using vonage!

I need help or Im gonna go absolutely insane. When someone here is using the Vonage phone, my wireless laptop loses its internet connection and I have to reset it back up every single time. Im tired of doing that and am about to rip this Vonage out and throw it in the yard. Also, I am having major trouble hearing on that phone and others cant hear me either. Hell, if I wanted this crap, I could have kept Alltel. A string and two cans are more reliable than Vonage.

Can anyone help me?

well I can guarantee "this Vonage" isn't causing your problems, but I bet you have a 2.4ghz cordless phone that is.

So that phone isnt a decent phone to use? What do I NEED to use with it? It seriously is driving me crazy. And is that why the interent connection gets dropped when someone is using that phone?

your wireless network runs on 2.4ghz and so does your cordless phone. that's what is knocking your laptop offline. Vonage has nothing to do with it. most people like the uniden tru 5.8ghz series, or just pick up a cheap 900mhz somewhere. or if you know how you can try chaning your wireless router's channel.

What about the problem of people not being able to hear me? Will that phone help that problem as well?

that would be the best place to start. if it persists, come back, read the first post on this fourm, and post your answers. if you have an old corded phone lying around, that would be the quickets/easiest way to test it.
