I was getting caller ID fine on both my lines connected to my PAP2. One day one of the phones stopped working. I tried the phones in different jacks and sure enough one of my phones isn't recieving caller ID. I called Vonage and they said it has to be something wrong with the phone. The denied that any change they made could cause a phone to not recieve caller ID. Three days later caller ID started working on the phone again. After over a week of working, it now doesn't work again. I've looked closely that there is no setting on the phone to turn off caller ID.
Anyone have any ideas?
Should I just buy a new phone? |

Does the ID show up on your reports? It seems lately I get the number but no name on the reports. On my phone, I've noticed 50% a digit or 2 is missing from the display, but I get the name! A reboot of the router doesn't seem to help. |

I get all the names and numbers to both my other line on the PAP2 and my online activity report. |

Yep, all the time. Vonage claims it shows up fine on the billing, so it must be my phone.
Funny how the phone works fine when I switch it to Verizon (ALWAYS get caller ID), but with Vonage it's 50/50.

I found that what used to show up on Caller ID under my Verizon account as "private" or "anonymous" now does not show up at all on Caller ID on my Vonage account. It will, however, show up as Anonymous on the Vonage Activity page/report. Other numbers show up fine. |

Out of three cordless phones in my house, I have one that does the same thing. Periodically, the caller i.d. just stops working, and then, a few days later, it starts again -- and it did that long before I started using Vonage. Hmm. |
