Hi,
I have a LInksys Wireless B Broadband Router to which my Vonage and 2 PCs are connected.
I'd like to ensure that Vonage traffic is not hindered in any way from the 2 connected PCs (that I do not have control over).
Is this possible and could you tell me how I can do it?
If my router does not support it, which router could I buy that does?
Thanks. |

Thanks. I guess the Linksys routers themselves can't be made to prioritize VoIP traffic above all others huh? |

No... it properly tags packets so that they are identified as voice traffic; however, without anything that knows what to do with these tagged packets, you're stuck.
The only exception is if all your internal network traffic passes through the RTP300. Then flow control is properly managed. |

Depends on the wireless router. Is it the BEFW? |

Yes it is the BEFW 1154.
Should I have the DSL modem hook to the Vonage (Motorola), then the Vonage PC connection hook to the Linksys Router, and then the Router hook to the PCs? Would that do the trick you think? |
