I think this feature was removed (they have it in other router versions)

Actually, it's there & it supports it quite well. in the router's config pages, go to Admin, Log, choose the log level that you're interested in (I'm assuming panic = only real hack attempts, Debug tells you everything about the router.), set the IP to the IP of your computer, and run WallWatcher to keep an eye on things.

WallWatcher can be found at www.wallwatcher.com. When configuring WallWatcher, tell it you're running a "Linksys WRT54G/S (Sveasoft/Hyperwrt)" and it'll run fine.

** Hey hacker types... Not sure if any of you have tried this, but the Debug log is very detailed...you can see some of the interaction with that lovely webcm program that they put in there to thwart having fun with the router, but I'm thinking some of you out here might be able to pick it apart through the debug log.

does wallwatcher work also with the RTP300 router?does wall watcher always have to be on/ running in back ground to keep getting logs, or just run once and it keeps logs automatically...i just dont want to have it running all the time, unless it has to be

I'm also having trouble with the logging. I tried all levels of logging on the RTP300 and I can't get it to send me anything. I'm using Ethereal to sniff on my PC interface and I don't see any traffic information (just a few management alerts). This worked fine for me with my old LInksys BEF411s4. Is logging working for anyone who is using the RTP300? I'm wondering if the Vonage people disabled this feature.

Subject: [vonage.com #296XXX] UPnP and Log not functioning on RTP300

RTP300 - No Internet logs, No UPnP (Firmware v. 1.00.50 - 1.00.60)

Dear K...,

Thank you for contacting Vonage Digital Voice!

In regard to your observations concerning UPnP and LOG under Administration/Log on the RTP300,
the Engineers say that currently the purpose of UPnP is to bring up the router's web gui (http://192.168.15.1)
and
the LOG in Administration records router syslog messages; not Internet activity.

There is no date set for future enhancements.
