I lost my power adapter when I moved and I need to know if I can buy just the adapter somewhere all I have been able to find is the whole starter kit.

Have you considered calling Linksys? The phone number is on the back flyleaf of the manual.

Also on the back of my RT31P2 it says 12VDC1A with some little picture with - and + and **** on it. You would need an adapter that matches what your router/ta says.
