I was just skimming through this section of the forum, and I was rather surprised to see that there is hardly any mention of the RTP300, other than VonageTPA's initial reports of successful faxing.

So, what's the deal? Is the RTP300 working so utterly perfectly for data calls that nobody comes in to complain anymore? Or are people just neglecting to mention that they've got one? I don't have much personal interest in this matter, but by reading this section, you'd almost think the RTP300 never existed.

I joined Vonage yesterday with the RTP300 using it as a phone adapter behind my wireless router. I had callvantage and an HDtivo working with serial cable and external modem with Callvantage. It seems to work fine with Vonage. took 3 tries for test call, 3 tries for downloading updated numbers and a couple of tries for a daily call. It downloaded and updated the HR10-250. My quality settings are at 90kbps. I thik the serial dialing prefix is ,#319

I have the same box here. Just got it yesterday and wired it into the house. No problems on any of my Direct Tivo boxes or my security alarm.

Im going to run with it for two weeks and see what happens BEFORE I disconnect the teleco line.

If you're having problems with the TiVO/fax/data devices, try throwing a DSL filter inbetween the RTP300 and your devices. Just a single DSL filter hanging out the back of the RTP300 should do it. I've not had issues, but a few other people have had some strange things happen and the DSL filter trick fixed it...even if they weren't using DSL for their internet service.

I've tried the RTP300, the PAP2 and a Motorola VT1005. The older Motorola seems to work better for me then the newer devices.

I can only get the RTP300 to work about 25% of the time.. The Motorola is about 90% successful.

The PAP2 is the worst.

I beta tested an RTP300 this summer and it worked great with my DirecTV Tivo. But had to send it back once test was over.

Now I am back to using my Linksys RT31P2 and no more Tivo dial in. Have tried every work around I can find and no luck. I have a Series 2 Samsung DirecTV Tivo unit so I can't use the USB, can't add a modem, etc...

I just spoke with Vonage Tech support and they said the RTP300 was now available, but since the Linksys I have "works" I would have to buy my own RTP300. Problem is, I can't find them anywhere?

Anyone know where you can get one? The tech support guy didn't act like I could buy one through them.

Did some checking and it doesn't appear that Linksys is currently selling this model thru the usual suspects.

I was able to find a blog that mentions they got one by caling cancelations and getting them to offer one for the troubles they were having (bad tech support and a fried ata). You could always try that as a last resort. Also what about the wireless Router version?

Tech support said I could use that one also, since it was in the beta program as well.

But since I had actually used the 300, and know it works, I was trying to get that one.

I might go ahead and try the wireless since it is avaiable.

thanks
