I never ordered PPV but after I ordered, my TIVO has been dialing out crazy. I never put the two and two together. Im going to pull the plug and wait for the nag screen and then let my TIVO dial out again. Im on the unlimted plan, but all I see on my call display is the 212 number. |

I used the NY dial in number on my HD TiVo and the dial prefix. Everything works fine except my TiVo keeps dialing the prefix multiple times after a successful call. Any ideas? |

I'm afraid the only solution is to unplug your tivo from the phone line. That's what i did.
I didn't even know my tivo was making thousands of bogus phone calls until I got Vonage. |

I have been looking through the thread and have used dial codes with tivo before..
I am curious to know how the hardware is setup to get DirectTvo to hit the tivo service via vonage...
My father in law is looking to change to Vonage but has a direct tivo and wants to use Vonage enabled cordless phones rather than the existing phone he has already...
Is this possible or does the Direct tivo need to be plugged into the Vonage base station (adapter) to work? |

Ugh. I have tried every tip/configuration in this thread as well as multiple others from different forums. I have gotten as far as the download step when calls have timed out, but not with any consistency. I am trying to switch over to a wireless network connection but need to successfully call in to get the software update to do it. Anyone know if there is a way to update the Tivo software without connecting via phone? |

Patience pays off!I don't usually browse the net for this kind of help-stuff!Thanks, my unnecessary and wrong call to my security provider is cancelled. Did you know that it took me time to figure out what to do and tempted to call a technician for help i,and here you are, giving as simply as 1-2-3!
