Post subject: area code vs exchange
Vonage
had my area code of 403 here in AB, but not the local exchange of 823, so I had to get a Calgary # (770), and now all my friends here in this small town have to call long distance to call me! The
Vonage
operator led me to believe that they'd be expanding in my area, and they did, but they skipped this small dustbowl of a town! (I'm actually from Vancouver Island, so I'm not a fan of Alberta at all).
Anyways, now I guess I'm stuck with this #, which is actually O.K., because I get bugged at inconvenient times a lot less, and I have the unlimited plan (highly reccomended), so I can just call them whenever anyways.
I look forward to getting the local exchange when it becomes available.

Drumheller, a dust bowl?
A least you have the hoodoos (I saw them when I was there but I still don't know what they are) and Royal Tyrell Museum.
It's change from the Island but at least people wear shoes there.

Nice burn but if it wasn't for our Islander his "BC friends" and the crazy oil prices, you wouldn't have the economic mircale that is Alberta. Tell you what, we'll trade you. Our Surrey residents (many of whom are from AB) and the welfare cases that Klein shipped out here with a free one way ticket in 90s for your BCers. Then lets see who has more to complain about.

Sorry Dan, I was just having a little fun with our Newfie friend. I've never met a Newfie that I didn't like.
