I've had the same problems with my Venture phone noted here. As a workaround, I currently put my two Vonage lines into lines 2 and 3 on the Venture.

I've noticed, at least twice, someone leaving a message in the Venture voicemail but when they hang up, the message is gone. It may be a problem with my Venture, but I doubt it. Anyone else have this problem with Vonage lines on the Venture?

BTW, Aastra told me today that they're coming out with a NEW Venture in mid-March 05 that will be Voip compatible.

Just recently ran into the same problem with my Venture TAD. Luckily, I have only 2 lines (1 Vonage + 1 PSTN). So, I just ran both lines to port 2 on the CAM module. And, I reset the "prime" line to line 2. This essentially negates line 1 on the phone, which is a shame, but I don't think anything is really lost. I don't see this issue on the two Meridian 9417CWs I have or my 9516, so it appears to be only an issue with the Venture series phones and the Linksys adapters.

Any more word from Nortel/AAstra or Vonage on this issue? I have the LinkSys PAP2, causing the same problem.

Hey guys, I know why you are here.....you are having problems with Vonage or other Voip service with Venture 3 line phone systems by Nortel / Aastra on line one right? Well I had the same problem months ago and did many different research on the product with no luck as everyone else was having the same problem. However after some more research with the phone (not online) I concluded that the cause of the problem was lack of REN power. Even though the Voip adaptors work fine with multiple (regular household) phones it does not jive with the power needed by the Venture 3 line phones on line one. To solve the REN power I contacted one of my distributors and asked them if they had product they would boost REN (ringer equivelance) they told me that VIking electronics sold a product that would do that. That product would be the Viking RG-10A ring booster. See my letter to the CEO of Vonage regarding this: http://www.ultimatealarms.com/1401926.html

Ever since installing the product between my Voip adapter (PAP2v2.0) and my phone system I have not had any problems. Caller ID passes just fine and my EFA works perefectly.

Well I have had Vonage back in the day when they first started and it didn't work with my Nortel phones, I got a POTs line from the Local company to make the line 1 work. Had Vonage for many years until I moved from Washington 4 years ago. Seeing I wasn't running my Business I stored my Phone system. Also with the move I just got a Bundle deal from the Local Telcom. Now I did away with my Local service and got Vonage back. Starting a new thing local and thought I would get out the Nortel System out of storage and go again. Come to find out that the Line 1 Issue is still an Issue. My system is as Follows.

4 Venture 3 line phones
1 Venture 3 Line TAD Phone
1 Enhanced Feature MOD
1 Paging Amp with Speaker
1 CD Player to Loop MP3 MOH
1 Powered Door Latching used to Open Office door

Sadly I am at a loss. The Phone still don't work on Line 1 and with all the looking into things back in 2001 it was my Understanding the issue isn't with Vonage Service but Nortel Venture phones. The system uses Line 1 for all the Extra services on the phones like Paging, MOH, Door Latching ETC. That I am wondering how can a Box that adds line voltage to line 1 going to help keeping everything working right. I could see it not being an issue if you were not looking to use the Extra services. I mean there are times that the Phones if not connected to a POTs line it would show new Services on the Phones even without a Power Outage. Anyway guess I have to call CL and have pay them for LINE 1 again.

I love being able to have my 14+ Mail Boxes and my phone to phone paging and Outside Speaker Paging, MOH and Door Latching that even knowing Nortel is Defunct company now Sad that I will keep my KSU-LESS phone system until the very last phone dies, Or I just happen to find another KSU-LESS system with TAD cheap LOL I remember what I paid for this all the time installing all the Features makes it something hard to get Rid of. Install looks Pro even now with it being in Storage for the last 4 years.

Anyway if anyone has some info about a work around that works with all the Features please let me know ASAP or I will have to get a POTS from CL.
