Well, I reset my WRTP54G tonight and got 1.00.50. Still need to make sure that the reverse echo fix is in there.

Reverse echo fix is definitely in 1.00.50... I have called my home several times. 1.00.47 & 1.00.50 seem to work just as well on the reverse echo for me -- and I am not sure what the difference is. Would be nice if there were some release notes for those of us who actually do care about the technical details.

I've not seen any increase in background noise with my Vonage connections with the latest firmware updates. Still very quiet, if not silent when people aren't speaking. Looking at it on my teleconferencing equipment, the noise floor measurs better than -60dB on a quiet connected phone line, which is VERY good. (better than my Verizon line) Too bad it doesn't measure lower than that, as it's less than -60dB. Signal to noise ratio is greater than 76dB. Most home audio equipment doesn't even boast specs this good.

Yep...I've had a couple of calls since the update and 1.00.50 seems to include the fix. I was a bit worried since 1.00.47 was never officially released. I was concerned that the reverse echo fix wouldn't make it into the next official firmware version, but it seems that it did.

**Update... I just looked over at the RTP300 in the rack and saw the Phone 1 light blinking away...and was somewhat puzzled... my desktop phone was on-hook, so no prob there... looking further down the rack, I saw that the teleconferencer was still connected to the test #... I hadn't heard a single pop/peep/etc from the phone line & totally forgot that it was running the whole time. It honestly was THAT quiet. 42 minutes wasted. I'm VERY glad I have the unlimited plan. That would have been $4.20 with my Verizon land line.

.50 fixed my echo too, however now whenever anyone calls from a blocked line, it shows Unavailable instead of Private or Anonymous. Is anyone else having this problem? Can't tell the telemarketing calls from the personal calls now, ugh!
