Post subject: Help with VT1000 setup
How does the Moto VT1000 (the ATA) work when it's not in NAT/DHCP mode? The reason I ask is because no matter what IP settings I tried I could not get a Win98 computer behind the ATA to surf in non-NAT mode. So now I went back to my old setup of CM into Linux NAT router/firewall/http server box into Hub and assigned the ATA an internal IP address and plugged it into the Hub. Works ok except when I'm pounding my connection but with 5 or 6 Bit Torrents going I get dropouts. I'd like to get the ATA between the CM and the linux box for it's QOS. Help? Can the Linux box do QOS?
Thanks
txcas

Yes this proves to me that my Linux box can do what I want. I need to read up on the tc command as it's key.......
