I tried Vonage a while back and canceled it after having intermittent problems and not being able to get useful support. Since then I've looked around and can't find anything better, so I want to give Vonage another go. Thing is, I'm now told by Vonage that I can't reactivate my PAP2 adapter and it's basically a paperweight. Is this true? Sounds crazy... (although not as crazy as me for trying to sign up again!). |

Wow seriously? they said that? I think thats BS and that you probably got someone who didnt' know how to reactivate it so instead of admitting that they told you it wasn't possible. |

Nope, his statement is true. Vonage will not reactivate a used box from themselves or any other provider. |

Ok, then what would be the point in purchasing their adaptor anyway? If its basically garbage after cancelling their service. |

That's why I got mine directly from Vonage. If I cancel the service, I turn it back in and they give me money back. Plus, if it magically blows up (like I believe mine has now), they replace it for free. |

Kamnet is right on. I would get an adapter directly from Vonage. The new RTP300 they are shipping are great little boxes. |
