I am very close to purchasing Vongage's equipment from Tiger Direct and have it mailed to me. My question is how hard is it to activate a Vonage account using their retail activation service? The main reason I want to buy the equipment is because Vonage does not ship their equipment to APO (U.S. military overseas) addresses. So that means I have to have them send the equipment to my mom's home. She would then have to mail it here to Japan. It is quicker for me buy directly from a Vonage authorized dealer that ships directly to APO address. Since Vonage does not accept APO addresses, that means I will have to use my mom's mailing address. I know this, because many people here in Japan use Vonage's service. So all I want to know is what is the process for retail activation.

I purchased mine thru Best Buy and was up and running withi n an hour. extreemly east setup. Filling all the reabte paperwork took much longer. BB had/has a promo where you get $$ back plus a $50 gift card. Bottom line, the router cost me nothing.

I am happy with the entire process and system.

Only issue I had with the retail activation was the MAC address of my router was not in the Vonage database. I called customer service and they added the MAC address to the database and I was up and running in about 4-6 hours.
