BEFSR41 Router for top call quality or a different router

I am using the BEFSR41 with Vonage phone adapter Motorola Surfboard modem and Comcast. QOS = 97 usually, but still a few complaints from callers about "wavy" sound.

I think I should have bought a different router. Anyone got a tip for me here? (I just tried a new "Wireless-G with SRX" and that was a bomb. QOS = 70.)

What's the best set up for top call quality?

where are you getting that qos reading from? the speed test here? and do you know what it means?

Yes. The test here is the one I'm using. I don't know what it means in a technical sense.

ok, well, it's fairly irrelevant. the only time it might come into play is if you get about a 1% reading and you have really choppy and dropped calls.
the best setup for good call quality is a good isp. voip is almost entirely reliant on a great connection, and minor variances can screw it completely up, even though your web browsing may be great.
the very first post in this forum says "what to post when having technical trouble with vonage". that would be a good place to start.
if you're dying to buy something else, most everyone will recommend the wrt54g router series from linksys.

I take it that router is superior to the "Wireless G"? Or supposedly so?

I was hoping for a combination that would favor my voice data as some do according to the anecdotal info that I have come by . . .

But I will go back to the posts you recommended and see what I can get out of that. I just can't seem to find a combo that eliminates all complaints about quality tho I am at 700+ upload speed which I thought was the Holy Grail of VOIP (upload speed, that is) Thanks.
